Membership in The Desert Golf Tour is not required to receive cash prize money: however, membership is required to participate in the Cash Chase.
Eligibility:The Desert Golf Tour is open to any professional or amateur player over 18 years of age. Amateurs must have a handicap of 3.5 or less. The Tour reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone.
Amateur Players must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf. Amateur golfers may only win up to $750.00 in script certificates. The Tour reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone.
Annual Membership Dues: The cost of annual membership for professional players in the Desert Golf Tour is $200.00. The cost of annual membership for amateur players in the Desert Golf Tour is $150.00. The membership year is a twelve month period beginning on the first day of the month in which the members application is received and ending on the last day of the twelfth month thereafter.
Non-Members: Any player may play a Desert Golf Tour event as a non-member, for the non-member fee. A non-member will have one trial event before signing up as a member to retain their points for the Cash Chase. Once the player signs up as a member they retain their points only from the previous event they played in.
Entry Fees:Entry fees must be paid in full by 5:00 pm 4 days prior to the event. Entry fees are as follows....

Payment:Desert Golf Tour accepts checks, money orders and/or credit cards (Visa or MasterCard). Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 service fee.
Late Sign Up/Cancellation/No Show Policy:
Late sign ups, after the deadline, will be charged an additional $25.00 to the player. Cancellation must be received by 5:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to the event. In the event of a cancellation, a refund/credit will be awarded back to the player minus the green fee and administration fees. Event refund/credit will be granted for players qualifying for PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour or Champions Tour events. An event refund/credit for medical or personal withdrawals after the deadline will be at the discretion of the Tour Director. A medical withdrawal will require proper documentation. Event refund/credit, regardless of reason, will not be given for players after they have teed off or for a "no show". All withdrawals that are in the form of a credit can only be used within the current season series of a future Desert Golf Tour event.
2009 Cash Chase:
The 2009 Cash Chase will host a season long points tournament for Desert Golf Tour. Players will receive points for each of the events based on finish. The top players who accumulate the most points during the season will receive a Cash Chase Bonus.
A non-member will have one trial event before signing up as a member to retain their points for the Cash Chase.  Once the player signs up as a member they retain their points only from the previous event they played in.
Cash Chase Eligibility:
Only members are eligible for the end of the season Cash Chase Bonus.
